Linda Simmons
LMHC
Works with:
Adults and Older Adults
Therapy Approach:
I specialize in supporting adults through grief, loss, trauma, and the quiet, complex forms of
suffering that often go unseen. My work is grounded in the belief—shared by both contemplative
traditions and contemporary psychology—that healing begins when we can meet our inner
experience with clarity and compassion.
Integrating grief counseling, Buddhist psychology, mindfulness and somatic therapies, ACT
(Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and EMDR, I help
clients cultivate the tools needed to hold painful emotions without becoming overwhelmed by
them. EMDR allows us to work gently and effectively with the nervous system, helping to move
through trauma and persistent emotional pain, while mindfulness and somatic therapies as well
as ACT and IFS support the development of resilience, self-understanding, and reconnection
with meaning and purpose, honoring both pain and the capacity for renewal.

Get to Know:
My therapeutic style is warm, steady, and attuned. I bring the discipline of a long-term
contemplative practice, the clinical rigor of evidence-based treatment, and a deep respect for
each person’s innate wisdom. I offer a space where clients can slow down, breathe, and
rediscover themselves, even in the midst of profound difficulty.
