Get to Know Marianne

You feel like a bad person. You'd love to be the kind of person who embraced your whole self, but that feels way too scary! You're scared that if people knew THIS about you, they'd all leave. The THIS can be anything from trauma, pain, or just not knowing who you are anymore since the children were born, the new promotion, turning 40, 50, OR….

And that's where I come in: I help individuals and couples heal. After working with me, clients have healthy relationships where everyone meets their needs, even if they don't know what they are yet! Talk therapy and mindfulness/somatic healing sessions are available because you deserve a fulfilling, joyful life and relationships.

Therapeutic Style: Having been a therapist for almost thirty years, I find my therapeutic style is very Humanistic and based in Reality: we focus on self-discovery, empowerment, and finding meaning. Sessions are unstructured, my number one goal is to meet the client (you!) where you are. It's important to me that you set the pace and direction, I'll follow your lead. I truly believe my clients are ‘the’ experts in their own lives, Me? I'm someone with lots of training/experience on how to help you apply the innate knowledge and skills you already have. I also use humor when appropriate (as is my authentic self). I love this way of doing therapy because it teaches you the tools for a lifetime. We might be talking about fighting with your boss/friend/etc.- but the lessons you pick up from that interaction will apply everywhere. We will talk about all this in your first session.

I’ve learned so much in life from others and my own journey. So, when we work together, you get not only a trained therapist: you'll get someone who truly understands life can be very difficult at times.
