Therapy Approach
I began in social work over 10 years ago, growing alongside each person I served as we navigated toward their goals. I have worked in a range of settings including in providing residential services, community based supports, medical case management and in a community health center. These experiences shaped my trauma-informed, compassionate approach to therapy.
In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on building trust and getting a full picture of what’s bringing you in. I’ll ask questions, listen closely, and collaborate with you to identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic. Progress can look different for everyone —it might be building coping skills, feeling more grounded, or improving relationships. I draw from a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems and mindfulness practices to cater care to individual’s unique needs. I now provide clinical care to adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and I get it—I’ve been on the other side of the table too. In our sessions, I show up as a real person, often coffee in hand and sometimes joined by my cats. If you’re curious about whether we’d be a good fit, I invite you to reach out—building that connection is where the work truly begins.
