Why This Role

Why Clinicians Are Taking This On.

Built-In Client Demand

Couples therapy inquiries at BETA are running nearly 2:1 over individual therapy. You won't be starting from zero — there's an active referral pipeline waiting.

Flexible, Defined Hours

This role is built around evening availability — ideal if you're balancing other client work, supervision hours, or a daytime commitment elsewhere.

Independent Practice, Real Support

The Role

ScheduleMinimum one late-afternoon or evening session block per week; two is ideal. Exact hours are flexible and discussed directly with you.
LocationIn-person at our Brighton, MA office (241 Beacon Street). Telehealth availability for couples may be discussed depending on caseload.
CaseloadStart with couples referrals from our existing intake pipeline; opportunity to grow your caseload as availability allows.
Structure1099 independent contractor — you manage your own clinical approach and notes, with administrative and scheduling support from our team.

What You'll Bring

Couples ExperienceDemonstrated experience and comfort treating couples — training in an established modality (EFT, Gottman, IBCT, or similar) is a strong plus.

A Note on Who We're Hoping to Reach

A few specifics about this search that may help you decide if it's the right fit.

Growing Our Couples Bench

Couples work is our fastest-growing area, and we're specifically looking to add capacity here — not filling a generalist slot.

Client-Driven Preference

Many of our couples clients specifically request a female therapist when reaching out, and we currently don't have enough capacity to meet that demand.

On the preference above: we're prioritizing candidates who can help us meet this specific, recurring client request. All qualified applicants are welcome to apply, and we evaluate every candidate on licensure, couples experience, and schedule fit.
