Help People, Build Your Career…Change the World

A letter from Boston Evening Therapy Associate Founder Aaron Gilbert, who discusses the rewarding journey of pursuing a career as a LICSW.

Life flows in a circle more than a straight line. For this reason, early and late stage therapists often find themselves in a similar place but with unique perspectives. You find yourself ready to build on (or rekindle) the flame of your passion to offer your unique skills to improve the world. You want to fully enjoy this early (or late) phase of your life.  And you have grown to appreciate (or re-discover) that learning something every day is a key to vitality and being here, in the moment in your life.

Of course this is present in mid-life too, but the demands, pressures, and stressors unique to mid-life can cloud this vision (Which is certainly understandable!) If you are lucky enough to be able to hold fast to this vision, I say Bravo! And this is for you just as well.

You Deserve a Practice That Helps You Thrive

No matter where you are in your career as a professional social worker or mental health counselor, you have gone through a lot to get here. The training, the classes, the field placements and the many professional challenges you have faced… It's a long list. Through it all, you have learned, developed your own professional voice and style and maintained the passion that surely motivated you to even consider this difficult field in the first place.

If you are looking for a practice that appreciates all this about you, and to work with people who have lived this experience, then Boston Evening Therapy Associates might be the perfect place for you.

Boston Evening Therapy Associates, has been serving the Greater Boston and wider Massachusetts community since 2008 when I founded the practice. Over the years, our outstanding therapists have helped tens of thousands of Bay State residents make meaningful improvement to their lives… And we are only getting started! We are ready to grow and build on our success but we can’t do it without YOU!

What Makes Boston Evening Therapy Associates Different

We are very selective and only seek the most talented and dedicated professional independent therapists to be found anywhere in the world. Could that be you?

We are a thriving and highly respected practice.  Our website has the largest reach and readership of any private practice in Massachusetts… by a lot! If you are a highly trained, passionate therapist who is 100% dedicated to your clients and committed to learning and improving yourself as a professional and human being every day, you may have found your best professional home.

Here with us, you will be respected and appreciated for the independent professional you are. We offer best-in-field clinical and non-clinical support and the perfect blend of autonomy, independence, support and collegiality.

We trust you to make your own hours and to practice therapy the way you want. Our referral base is deep, diverse, and fascinating. Our clinical team meetings are frequent and relevant and helpful and our billing scheduling and non-clinical support is second to none.

While this is an independent contractor position and does not come with benefits, the earning potential is very high and the work environment is outstanding.

We are looking only for candidates who can make a commitment to stay with our practice for a minimum of three years and to see no less than 15 clients per week.

To work with us, you must be fully and independently licensed to practice in Massachusetts. If you are an out of state professional, talk to us anyway, often reciprocity with Massachusetts can be obtained.

Think about it! This might be just the time to work with a practice that gets it. That gets YOU!

If you are ready, APPLY NOW
